Splash pad will add a family attraction to Bovey’s sports complex
[BOVEY, MN] – Mesabi Metallics Company LLC (Mesabi Metallics) has contributed $5,000 to the City of Bovey’s effort to install a splash pad at its sports complex, helping bring a new summer attraction to families across the Iron Range.
The splash pad will round out the Enstrom-Wilden Memorial Park with an activity that families of all ages from toddlers to grandparents can enjoy together.
“Great communities are built around places where families gather, and Bovey’s park is one of them,” said Joe Broking, President & CEO of Mesabi Metallics. “A splash pad is the kind of project that draws people from across the Range and gives kids a reason to be outside all summer. We’re proud to help make it happen.”
“Mesabi Metallics’ support brings us one big step closer to making the splash pad happen,” said Tony Yunk, Mayor of Bovey. “We expect families from all over the Range to come cool off here.”
To date, Mesabi Metallics has donated more than $1.4 million to the Iron Range community, funding more than 50 projects.
