“This event is about celebrating the Iron Range and the people who make projects like this possible,” said Joe Broking, President & CEO of Mesabi Metallics. “We’re proud to share our progress and to open our doors to the community—transparency and collaboration are at the heart of how we operate. This is some of the most advanced mining equipment in the world, and we can’t wait to show it off and demonstrate the innovation happening right here in Minnesota.”
“We’re excited for this opportunity for the public to experience Komatsu machines firsthand — especially our haul trucks, which were proudly manufactured at our plant in Peoria, Illinois,” said John Ward, Komatsu North America’s Senior Vice President for Mining. “This is a great example of American manufacturing supporting local economies and enabling important ventures like Mesabi’s new taconite mine. We appreciate Mesabi Metallics’ investment in the Iron Range and their commitment to driving growth and opportunity in the region.”
“It’s been rewarding to see our team’s work come together on a project of this scale,” said Mike Sill, CEO of Road Machinery & Supplies Co. “We’re grateful for the partnership with Mesabi Metallics and Komatsu, and we are proud to play a part in supporting the growth of mining on the Iron Range.”
