[PENGILLY, MN] – Mesabi Metallics Company LLC (Mesabi Metallics) is proud to announce a $25,000 donation to support the renovation of Swan Lake Country Club in Pengilly, Minnesota. The primary focus of the renovation project is to improve ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessibility at the front entrance, ensuring that all community members can more easily access the facility. Additionally, the funding will help enhance the dining room spaces to better accommodate events and gatherings. Members of the Swan Lake Country Club celebrated Mesabi Metallics’ donation at an event last week.
“We are excited to support this project, which will bring lasting value to both the Club and the surrounding area,” said Joe Broking, President & CEO of Mesabi Metallics. “This sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in our community and supporting spaces on the Iron Range that bring people together. We know that Mesabi Metallics is strongest when the community around us thrives—and when a community thrives, everyone benefits.”
“We’re honored to have Mesabi Metallics as a partner in this renovation project,” said Mike Anderson, President of Swan Lake Country Club. “Mesabi’s generosity will significantly enhance our facilities, elevate the experience for our members and guests and—most importantly—ensure that our Club and amenities are more accessible and welcoming to everyone in our community.”
Swan Lake Country Club in Pengilly, Minnesota has been serving the community as a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization since 1929. Currently, the Club has more than 250 members from across the Iron Range.
This donation is part of Mesabi Metallics’ broader mission to support community development across the Iron Range. Today’s news follows an announcement last week that Mesabi Metallics donated $25,000 to support the renovation of the O’Brien Reservoir Pavilion in Keewatin, Minnesota. To date, Mesabi Metallics has donated more than $800,000 to the community, funding more than 30 projects.
